I held my first stills camera when I was thirteen years old and have fallen in love with the medium ever since. My style pays tribute to the infinite variation and poise of natural light, and I’ve chosen the analogue format to pay attention to this world.

When the shutter snaps, I like to think about my intrusions as stories. Some people call it environmental photography.

Coming from a culture where women tend to be unheard, photography has given me an eye to narrate the pain and beauty of my existence: absolutely queer; very Latin American; an immigrant in the oddysey of permanent residency in Australia.



In my adolescence, music saved my life. A handful of times.

Writers like Borges, Dostoevsky, Faulkner, and Sontag left me a tip: you are not alone. Soon after, I stumbled upon Man With a Movie Camera, Scent of a Woman, La Grande Bellezza, The Shawshank Redemption, Todo sobre mi madre…it all clicked together. Dialogue, photography, music, all dancing in motion: I want to make movies.

I have developed a particular interest for screenwriting and cinematography through self-guided learning. Turns out, my day job is to manage work teams, projects, and businesses; and I like that too.  My dream? To produce an Australian remake of Thelma & Louise.
